Creating A Sense of Community To Enable Change

Seniors are concerned about what will happen as they age and required more support. This presented an opportunity for our client to build a solution, and for us to partner with them to help convince seniors to embrace change. RiverBend Seniors Community, in both Kamloops, BC and Prince George, BC are independent living facilities where age-in-place supports extend independence and provide peace of mind.

We created a personality for this seniors community that blended common emotions about change, confidence and security, and a splash of humour to speak to seniors about what they want for themselves and what their kids want for them too!

The result is that seniors in these communities purchased suites, often two years in advance of occupancy, and both facilities continue to have wait lists for rental suites. Our work since then has focused on strengthening the sense of community, through community updates, resident stories and online and social marketing. Our marketing strategy and execution was honoured for excellence with a Gold Keystone Award by the Canadian Homebuilders Association – Kamloops.
